Wednesday Night Live: Let's Talk About It

In partnership with playwright Michael Garcia, we tackle the issues that impact the mental well-being of our community through theatrical expression.

Experience select monologues from Garcia's stage play, Stuff Inside My Head, as well as new monologues written by Garcia, related to the theme of mental and emotional wellness in the Black community. Hear poetry and personal testimonies from members of the community who have endured and transcended traumatic experiences. The audience will engage with performers and each other by discussing the emotions that each performance and testimonial evokes.

Hear from mental health professionals who will share both their experiences and resources related to the traumas that we as a community encounter and must navigate to achieve healing and wholeness.

After a successful financial services career, Michael Garcia has reinvented himself as a creative artist who wears many hats. Michael is a naturally gifted writer and self-taught playwright who applies an engaging and thought-provoking approach to storytelling. His is a voice that holds nothing back!
