  • About This Program

Join us for a night of art, culture, and community at the opening celebration of our third biennial, Chop Shop: We Are Here. This exhibition offers a collective exploration of racial consciousness and identity through drawing, painting, and sculpture. Founded during the global pandemic in 2020, the Chop Shop Artists Collective is a group of Black and Brown male artists that serves as a space for virtual conversations and fellowship. In the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder and its worldwide broadcast, these artists found strength in community, bonding over their shared experiences.

Explore the vibrant works of multitalented artists alongside a panel discussion with curators Steven M. Cozart and Roymeico Carter. We look forward to seeing you there!
