StreetLife: The Art of Street Photography

We'll channel the spirit of masters like Henri Cartier-Bresson, who pioneered the art of freezing "decisive moments" in time, to teach you to see and capture the extraordinary in everyday life. This four-week course, designed for all skill levels, will immerse you in the technical skills and creative eye needed for powerful street photography, from understanding composition and light to ethically capturing candid images. Join us for a blend of historical context and hands-on shooting, where the vibrant streets of Uptown Charlotte become your personal canvas. This workshop is a collaboration between Creating Exposure Through the Arts and MODA, and we can't wait to help you tell the city's story through your lens.

Creating Exposure through the Arts (C.E.A.) is a non-profit located in Charlotte, North Carolina designed to mentor, educate, and empower youth by creating opportunities for exposure through the arts. Young artists will learn to be proficient in their craft under the supervision of professionals and volunteers.
