About This Program
Spring is in bloom, and we're inviting you to step outside, explore, and create together.
Join us for a creative meet-up and guided photo walk designed for photographers and visual storytellers of all skill levels. We'll gather at the Gantt Center inside the MODA studio at 12:30 pm before heading out into the streets of Charlotte to capture the energy, color, and movement of the season.
This experience is about more than just taking photos—it's about connection. As we walk, you'll have the chance to share ideas, exchange techniques, and learn from one another in a relaxed, collaborative environment.
The walk will be guided by expert street photographer Donald Sanchez, who will be offering insight, tips, and creative guidance along the way for anyone who wants it.
All skill levels are welcome. Bring whatever you love to shoot with—DSLR, film camera, Polaroid, iPhone, or any device you have on hand. And if you're just curious, that's enough too.
Come ready to connect, create, and experience spring in the city together.
Hosted in partnership with Creating Exposure Through the Arts.

About The Instructor
Donald Sanchez was born and raised in the Bronx. He attended the High School of Art & Design in Manhattan, majoring in Advertising Design and Illustration. While there, his art studies included oil painting, water colors, photography, packaging design, life drawing, and illustration, just to name a few. He moved his family to Charlotte in 2005. In the mid 1980’s, he picked up a camera and began to pursue photography. Over the years, Donald has had the opportunity to exhibit his work in various galleries shows locally, and in New York City as well. He recently had on loan 10 of his framed images hanging in the Madrid home of the U.S. Ambassador to Spain through the Art in Embassies program of the U.S. Department of State. Donald is a published photographer and has been a Charlotte-based street photographer since 2018. His work can be seen on Instagram (@donaldsanchezphotography). He is currently a volunteer instructor for the non-profit organization Creating Exposure for the Arts, Inc., teaching beginning photography to Charlotte teens and assists in developing the course curriculum. -
