About This Program
Join us for a night of art, culture, and community at the opening celebration of Praise House: Adama Delphine Fawundu. This compelling new exhibition weaves a constellation of connections between Fawundu and her global kin, mapping both physical and metaphysical movements across Africa and its diaspora.
More than just a location, Praise House is a celestial gesture – envisioning the migrations and transformations of African indigenous worldviews as they resonate through the Caribbean, the Americas, and Europe. Ultimately, Praise House is a love song to our shared humanity, our environment, and the future we are called to imagine and co-create.
Explore the immersive works of Fawundu and celebrate the evocative journey of memory, identity, and imagination behind her creations during an artist talk with internationally acclaimed curator Dexter Wimberly. We look forward to seeing you there!
