  • About This Program

Kick off opening night with featured artist Sherry Shine and a reception including wine and hors d’oeuvres. Your tickets are valid for both Friday and Saturday!

The Chambers-McCain Foundation of Beta Delta Boulé and the Harvey B. Gantt Center have partnered with E&S Gallery to host the opening night reception for the National Fine Art Tour (NFAT) on Friday, November 8th from 6 pm to 10 pm at the Harvey B. Gantt Center. Art patrons and collectors will enjoy wine and light appetizers as they view the exhibition and meet featured artist Sherry Shine – a fiber artist specializing in hand-cut, stitched, fused and hand-painted quilts. NFAT launched in May of 2018 with a wildly successful exhibition in Columbus, OH.

Fine art collectors can expect to see more than 100 original and limited edition works of art by post-Harlem Renaissance master artists Elizabeth Catlett, Jacob Lawrence, and Richard Mayhew along with today's best-selling contemporary artists like Kevin A. Williams, Woodrow Nash, James Denmark, Twin, Charles Bibbs, and of course, Sherry Shine. For those art patrons that cannot attend the Friday reception, the NFAT will continue with gallery tours on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. In addition to this fabulous opportunity to acquire world renown art, there will be a raffle of one of Richard Mayhew’s custom-framed prints titled Atascadero.

The Chambers-McCain Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is committed to cultivating, achieving, and sustaining the highest quality of life through improvement in the areas of Leadership, Economic Development, Education and Social Development in the Greater Charlotte Community. The focused activities are around scholarship, mentoring, leadership development and community capacity building. More info at www.chambers-mccain.org.
