    Join us in Jazz Greats: Classic Photographs from the Bank of America Collection for a live performance by the Charles Craig Trio. The trio features Charles Craig on piano, Ron Brendle on bass, and Tim Scott Jr. on drums. Known for delivering a dynamic and authentic jazz sound, the group has been praised by manager Annette Craig as "some of the finest Jazz Kings of the Queen City." Their set list includes classics by Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, and more.

  • About The Artists

    Pianist Charles Craig studied at Berklee College of Music and has performed with renowned jazz artists including Grammy Award winners Arturo Sandoval, Christian McBride, and Roy Hargrove, as well as saxophonist Teodross Avery and hard-bop legend Johnny Griffin. He has recorded with Christian McBride (A Family Affair) and Teodross Avery (In Other Words, My Generation). Craig has appeared at major international venues and festivals, including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Sydney Opera House, Jazz Jamboree in Warsaw, and the Jazz Plaza Festival in Cuba, as well as nationally at the Newport Jazz Festival, Blue Note Jazz Club NYC, Village Vanguard, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Chicago Jazz Festival. He is the founder of Charles Craig Arts and Education.

    Ron Brendle, a graduate of Appalachian State University, has performed and recorded with jazz legends including Clark Terry, John Abercrombie, and Mose Allison. He is a two-time recipient of the North Carolina Arts Council Jazz Composer Fellowship Grant.

    Tim Scott, Jr., a graduate of North Carolina Central University, toured with the Grammy-nominated group The Foreign Exchange and has shared the stage with Robert Glasper, Fantasia, and Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest. He is the founder and owner of TiMar Entertainment.
