  • About This Program

The Harvey B. Gantt Center is honored to welcome The Ebony Women Health Corps for Healing Conversations: Sharing Our Birthing Stories — a restorative community gathering centering women and birthing people of color.

Too often, birthing experiences are carried quietly — the joy, the fear, the trauma, the resilience, and the moments where voices went unheard. This event invites participants to bring those stories into the community, where they can be witnessed, validated, and honored with compassion.

This program provides a safe and sacred space to:

    • Share birthing stories in a supportive, trauma-informed circle
    • Explore maternal mental health through culturally responsive dialogue
    • Connect with others navigating the complexities of motherhood
    • Learn restorative tools that nurture voice, resilience, and self-trust

Whether your birthing story is one of empowerment, challenge, or continued healing, this experience offers a space to reflect, connect, and restore.

You may view this conversation virtually via the EchoHer Community.

Important note: Registration for this program closes on Tuesday, January 6th. Prior registration is required to attend and we will not be able to accept walk-ups on the day of.
