Gray Holiday Virtual Mixer

Although the Gantt Center’s premiere holiday-themed celebration and fundraiser–the Gray Party–has been cancelled, this year we bring the party to you! We are excited to announce a virtual holiday celebration streamed live from the home of Herb and Felicia Gray. Enjoy the live and soulful sounds of the El Lambert Band playing your holiday and old school favorites. Test your cocktail-making skills with master mixologist JaQuan Bowser, who will be preparing curated drinks with themes inspired by our current exhibit, Inter | Sectionality: Diaspora Art from the Creole City.

In addition, during the mixer we will auction exclusive items that will make the perfect gift for you or a loved one. Finally, be sure to attend dressed in your holiday's finest, as we will announce our best-dressed contest winner at the end of the two-hour virtual event via Zoom! Registrants will receive an email with a private Zoom link prior to 7 pm on December 11th to join the virtual event.

• 2 oz Overproof Rum (Wray & Nephew)
• 2 oz Orange Juice
• 2 oz Pineapple Juice
• .5 oz Lime Juice
• .5 oz Strawberry Shrub (vinegar based syrup)

Ingredients for Cocktail #2: Coconut Caipirinha

• .5 oz Muddy River Coconut Rum (no Malibu, please)
• 1.5 oz Cachaca half a lime cut up
• .5 oz simple syrup (or the strawberry shrub)
