    This introductory workshop guides you through creating art assets and implementing code to customize your own 2D platformer video game. You'll learn a foundational workflow for developing video games with the GameMaker Studio game engine.

  • About the Teaching Artist

    Chelsea Brtis is an Assistant Professor of Digital Illustration at UNC Charlotte. They earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University and an MFA in Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication focusing in Game Studies and Development from University of Texas at Dallas. In their creative work, Chelsea interrogates topics including environmental politics, animal-human relations, and inclusive representation through game design.
