  • About This Program

As we approach the end of another Black History Month, join us for a thoughtful, multigenerational discussion about the history of action and progress in civil rights protests. How do we move forward? Where do we go from here?

Legendary civil rights leaders Rev. Dr. Jesse Douglas, who marched with Martin Luther King, and Rev. Dr. Rodney Sadler will be accompanied by community organizer Janelle Dunlap, Social Justice Creative of the Men's Shelter in Charlotte and Sean Casey, educator, environmental scientist and board member of the Possibility Project. de'Angelo Dia, photojournalist and chaplain, will moderate this discussion about the nation's transition from marching and protesting to active, sustained engagement. A Q&A session will follow the discussion.
