    This Fine Art Friday, flex your creative muscles through writing! Our exhibits are closing and this workshop offers you a final chance to enjoy the paintings in A Woman’s Work. Intimately connect with the work to create a skit, poem, short story, or other written work.

    Join teaching artist Colena Corbett to develop your skills as a writer and express your unique voice.

  • About The Author

    Colena Corbett is a teacher, writing-artist-creative, screenwriter and occasional actress. She writes short fiction about the impact of art on the human experience and as an arts enthusiast, particularly enjoys the work of masters John Biggers, Ernest Crichlow, Elizabeth Catlett, and Lois Mailou Jones, and contemporary artists Monique Luck and Kehinde Wiley. Corbett earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of South Carolina and holds a degree in media studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
