  • About This Program

Express your street art style right at home with this fun and easy workshop, featuring teaching artist Shane Manier.

Join the Gantt Center for our second live virtual Family First workshop, as we play with colorful lines and expressive shapes inspired by neo-expressionist artist Jean Michel Basquiat. During the workshop we will learn about Basquiat's story, as well as how to create a piece in his unique style.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. Although you only need crayons, markers, and paper to participate, you can be creative by adding other coloring materials and various types of canvas to your artwork. Basquiat's work was limitless, and we want the same freedom for your piece!

Family First is presented by Novant Health
