  • About This Program

Hip Hop and technology collide in an interactive performance and writing workshop. Explore aspects of STEAM with artist and poet Jeffery Weatherford as he teaches the history of hip hop, the process of creating rhymes and the technology behind your favorite hits.

Learn to compose and record lyrics, download beats, and mix audio using a MIDI keyboard and programs such as VersePerfect and Audacity.  Then, get ready to rock the mic with a performance at the end of the workshop!
