    Experience the Gantt's new digital arts studio and innovation lab with a day filled with immersive "phygital" (physical and digital) experiences that explore the future of art. Activities include interaction with a new pop-up exhibition, digital and physical arts workshops, digital wellness check-in, author talk, music, and more.

    10 am - 6 pm
    The Phygital Funk: Digital Creators Exhibition

    Immerse in this unique exhibition and engage with the local digital arts community. From interactive installations to multimedia works, this exhibition celebrates the innovative ways that artists are using technology to push the boundaries of creativity.

    10 am - 4 pm
    Virtual Galleries Exploration in Spatial

    Scan a QR Code and transport into the Gantt's virtual galleries featuring works from our permanent collection. Join spatial, create your own character and explore this new virtual addition.

    10 am - 4 pm
    Cubist Collaging

    Participants will use various pre-cut shapes to create figurative artwork based on the Gantt’s latest exhibition Visions: A Study of Form.

    10 am - 4 pm
    Charlotte’s Black History Coloring Sheets

    Participants will get a "coloring book" with images of iconic figures represented in the Gantt's latest mural.

    10 am - 2 pm
    Community Photos

    Stop by the digital arts studio for a family friendly photo opp with local photographers, Sancho Smalls and Malik Burns. Guests will be able to pose with colorful mood lighting and capture a moment in front of the cyclorama wall.

    10 am - 1 pm
    Stop Animation

    Ready, set, animate! Join teaching artist Brian Gibbs in the performance suite for a family friendly experience, creating your own stop animation story.

    11 am, 1:30 pm & 3:30 pm
    Guided Tours

    Guided tours of our current exhibition and the Gantt’s newest indoor mural take place throughout the day-long celebration.

    12 noon - 2 pm
    Digital Wellness Check-In and Discussion

    Influencers from around the city like Majesty Acheampong and Jordynn Nicholson will share best practices of how they leverage technology in their creative professional careers and how they use their platform for positive and purposeful influencing.

    2 pm - 4 pm
    Pass the Aux: Celebrating Women MCs

    Talk, listen and celebrate 50 years of hip-hop with a twist. During this program we will take a look at five decades of cultural magic and spotlight our favorite women MCs over the years in honor of Women's History Month. Guests will get a chance to make requests and reminisce on some of their favorite musical icons in this workshop led by local artist and producer Teaira Antoinette.

    2 pm - 4 pm
    Live Music Performance
