  • About This Program

On Tuesday November 5, Mecklenburg County voters will be asked to approve a quarter-cent sales tax referendum – equivalent to 5 cents on $20 spent – that that will provide much-needed funding for the arts, our parks, and public school education.

Join us for an important conversation on the tax referendum and learn how it will impact artists, arts institutions and the overall Charlotte community. This town hall is open to artists and the general public and will include representatives from the Arts & Science Council, Mecklenburg County Commissioners and members of the Better Mecklenburg Committee

A vote for the referendum is a vote for the Gantt!
