COVID-19 Outbreak: Update from Gantt Center CEO

Dear Gantt Center Community,

In the best interest of our staff and community, the Gantt Center will be closed to the public effective Sunday, March 15 until further notice. All programs taking place during this time have also been canceled. If you have a pre-scheduled visit to the Gantt Center, we ask that you call (704) 547-3700 or email gsa@ganttcenter.org to reschedule.

As you know, the situation with COVID-19 is developing rapidly. To ensure the safety of our team, we have asked any employee experiencing flu-like symptoms to remain at home or seek medical attention. During this period, we will remain in close communication with our staff and will implement remote work schedules to the extent possible in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.

The Gantt Center values your health and well-being. We will continue to follow any developments from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and public health officials to inform our decisions during this moment of unpredictability. We urge you to take the normal precautions prescribed by the CDC for navigating cold and flu season, including social distancing, adhering to coughing and sneezing etiquette, and proper hand washing.

Our staff will still be responsive and available to serve you. Please call (704) 547-3700 for any inquiries. To stay up to date with the latest Gantt Center news, updates and programs or to learn more about our upcoming exhibition opening, please visit ganttcenter.org or connect with us - @hbganttcenter - on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Thank you for being a part of the Gantt community. I know that together, we will get through this period of uncertainty. It is our hope that you and your loved ones remain safe and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Gantt Center soon.

Sincerely,

David R. Taylor
President & CEO
