Host Your Event

The Harvey B. Gantt Center is a 46,500 square-foot, award-winning architectural design, facility with three levels of event space, located on the cultural campus of Levine Center for the Arts in Uptown Charlotte. From our Grand Lobby and Learning Center, to our Performance Suite and Rooftop Pavilion, the Gantt Center offers a variety of options for you to host your next business meeting, luncheon, reception, performance or social occasion.

The Grand Lobby features floor to ceiling windows with unique earth tone tile adding a richness of culture to the room. This 2543 square foot event space can accommodate 150 seated for dinner, and 260 for a standing reception.

The Mezzanine overlooks the Grand Lobby offering an intimate reception area located between our East and West galleries. This 768 square foot event space can accommodate 80 for a standing reception. The Grand Lobby and Mezzanine together create a loft-like ambiance where guests are able to truly experience the museum and the exhibitions if requested.

The Performance Suite is a multifaceted space great for artist performances, film screenings, public lectures, symposiums, and corporate lunch meetings. It is also equipped with audio and visual needs for presentations. This 1397 square foot event space can accommodate 100 seated for lunch or dinner, 150 theatre style, and 200 for a standing reception. The Performance Suite and Grand Lobby are available as a package. Too, the Grand Lobby, Mezzanine and Performance Suite together are available as a package.

The Learning Center, a state-of-the-art classroom, is perfect for hosting creative workshops, seminars, training programs, and lectures. This 911 square foot event space can accommodate 50 desk seated, and 125 standing.

The Roof Top Pavilion features floor-to-ceiling windows with exotic African-tiger wood floors, displaying a breath-taking sunset on a clear day. It is a great area to host luncheons, dinners, receptions, social occasions, and can be transformed into a casual lounge, perfect for intimate jazz concerts. This 747 square foot event space can accommodate 125 seated for lunch or dinner and 200 for a standing reception. Inside of the Roof Top Pavilion and the Outdoor Terrace are sold separately during the Fall and Winter.

The Outdoor Terrace is an added bonus feature in the Roof Top Pavilion. This 1,732 square foot outdoor terrace provides a scenic view of Bank of America Stadium (Carolina Panthers), The Charlotte Observer and Levine Center for the Arts. It can accommodate 100 table seated and 275 standing. Inside of the Roof Top Pavilion and the Outdoor Terrace are sold separately during the Fall and Winter.

The boardroom is our executive suite that can seat up to 16 people at its elegant wooden conference table. It is equipped with two monitors for your audio and visual needs, and a wet bar for coffee/tea or continental breakfast.

Additional Details

The Gantt Center can accommodate 1,000 people reception style with use of the entire building, which includes three levels of event space.

Non-profit organizations receive a 25% discount with approved 501(c)(3) status. A tour of the galleries during facility rentals can be arranged upon request.
