Join Hidden Beach Recording Artist, Mike Phillips, for a CD release party and concert on our elegant Rooftop Terrace.
Phillips fuses his two loves – hip-hop and traditional jazz – into a refreshingly unique sound. Driven to be the best, Phiilips has resolved to follow in the path of the legendary saxmen Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane and Charlie Parker. The determination to perfect his craft has helped him reconfigure the jazz landscape by infusing blues, gospel and hip-hop elements into a welcomed unique style.
Phillips has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder – in Paris, no less – and Prince. His solos are smooth and inventive, yet emotion comes through, unhindered. Asked to describe himself in one word, Phillips doesn't hesitate: passionate.
The evening promises a feast for the senses on every floor. Enjoy the listening party in the Performance Suite for Phillip's third solo release, "M.P.3". Romance your visual perception and artistic emotions with the Romancing the Eye exhibition. Observe artist Michael Platt's keen sense of observation through digital photography in the Spirits and Spaces exhibition. It's Jazz at The Gantt.
The event has completely sold out. No tickets will be available the day of the show.
