  • About This Program

In this month’s Family First series, local photographers will share their work and discuss the benefits and challenges of shooting and printing, in color or black and white, and digitally versus manually. Bring an old cereal box or shoe box with you to the Gantt Center to participate in this two-part program.

From the pinhole camera to the cell phone, photography has always been ahead of the curve with setting trends in innovation and accessibility. These days, it's become easier and easier for anyone to capture an experience, moment or person. With the slide of a finger, we can document and create art in less than one second. But what has happened to the once respected photographic printing process? After the discussion, participants will get to work with local photographers to make their own pinhole cameras!
